Mike Shepherd
UK Water Industry Research
Mike is a Chartered Civil Engineer who has over 40 years experience in water supply operations, mostly distribution and distribution system renovation both in the UK and overseas. Recently retired from Thames Water in London, he is now working as an independent consultant specialising in these areas.
In addition to conducting his own business, Mike continues to represent Water UK on a number of International, European, British Standards and Water UK committees concerned with standardisation for plastic pipe systems and mains renovation. He also acts as project manager for a number of UK Water Industry Research projects and is Chairman of the Plastic Pipes Liaison Group
