Rod has extensive industry experience, having held senior management positions in the plastics, printing and surface coatings industries. His experience spans large multi-nationals and SMEs and he has been responsible for a range of functions that include sales and marketing, planning, manufacturing, finance and OH&S.

He has a Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry and has utilised his technical skills and knowledge in research (polymer banknote project) and business development roles with the CSIRO.

He is currently Senior Business Development Manager within the Faculty of Engineering at Monash University where he has diverse responsibilities that cover both industry engagement and commercialisation.
